DeJope Might Include Poker In Games Lineup

New games will soon be offered by Madison's DeJope Gaming Center, and poker might just be one of them.

However, state officials are careful to monitor and ensure that DeJope will not be violating a measure that residents of Dane Couty voted on two years ago.

In June of 2004, it was reported that DeJOpe was doing away with paper bingo and is remodeling to accommodate hundreds of bingo slot machines. This year, a lot of sources are saying that it could very well be more than just bingo. But exactly what else, remains to be seen.

The mystery is further amplified as DeJope has posted in its website that a major announcement is coming soon. Moreover, patrons and some staff-members are saying that it is indeed more that just bingo slots, speculating that it might include poker and possibly more than that.

Dejope and Ho-Chunk representatives declined to comment on the issue, but said that the company is seeking to solidify the business.

Executive administrative officer of Ho-Chunk Nation Jon Greender said that they would like to broaden and expand their customer's gaming experience at DeJope. He likewise said that they are maximizing their Class II license and would like to create a total gaming package.

Class II games are restricted to bingo and similar games.
